Fallout 4 Script Extender (znane równie¿ jako F4SE) is a tool for Fallout 4, created by Ian Patterson, Stephen Abel and Purple Lunchbox.
Description:
Make sure that u always have the f4seloader in the fallout 4 directory. If u want to have a desktop icon on ur home screen, always make sure that u at least have a copy in the directory. However, if u want to pin the f4se launcher to the bottom of the screen, (my preferred method), you shouldn't have to make sure that the file is in ur.
The Fallout 4 Script Extender, or F4SE for short, is a modder’s resource that expands the scripting capabilities of Fallout 4. It does so without modifying the executable files on disk, so there aren’t any permanent side effects.
Instructions:
1. Copy f4se_1_5_157.dll, f4se_loader.exe, and f4se_steam_loader.dll to your Fallout installation folder. This is usually C:Program Files (x86)SteamSteamAppscommonFallout 4, but if you have installed to a custom Steam library then you will need to find this folder yourself.
2. Launch the game by running the copy of f4se_loader.exe that you placed in the Fallout installation folder.
3. If you are looking for information about a specific feature, check f4se_whatsnew.txt for more details.

This guide will help beginners learn how to install the Fallout Script Extender or “FOSE”.

A Small Warning
Please note that FOSE does not support:
- Retail DVD and Steam build 1.0.0.1 (just update your game)
- Russian DVD version of Fallout 3 (it uses Starforce encryption on Fallout3.exe)
- Direct2Drive version of Fallout 3 (it encrypts the Fallout3.exe)
- Polish DVD version of Fallout 3 (it uses SafeDisc copy protection on Fallout3.exe)
Downloading FOSE
First you must go to the link I have provided. It is the official FOSE link.
You have to download the first option under where it says “Current Stable Version”. Congratulations you just downloaded Fallout Script Extender! Now you just have to install it and setup the fose_loader and your done!
Installing FOSE
Now that you have FOSE downloaded, it is time to install it. It should come in a zip archive. I just unzip it into my downloads folder. Then you should see a folder called fose_v1_2_beta2. Please note that the title of the folder may be different if your looking at it in the future. That was the name of the folder when you downloaded at the time this guide was made (I will try my best to see if it changes at later times).
Anyways, double click on that fose_v1_2_beta2 folder and you should see a folder, a bunch of .dll files, an HTML document, an application titled fose_loader, a readme, and finally a changelog. All you have to do is take all those files (NOT the src folder) and drag them into your Fallout 3 directory (NOT the Data folder, just the folder that has Fallout3.exe and FalloutLauncher.exe). Once you have done that, you have successfully installed Fallout Script Extender. Now all that’s left is to set up your fose_loader (which is incredibly easy!!).
Setting up the fose_loader
This is the final step in installing the Fallout Script Extender!! It is extremely easy too! All you have to do is create a shortcut of fose_loader.exe and drag it to your desktop and name it Fallout 3! That’s all you have to do! If you run into any problems please comment below and I will get back as quick as possible! If this guide helped please like and favorite!
